Wears My Money

I mean, really…

Winter warmers with White Stuff

This is the final post in what I like to call my ‘White Stuff trilogy’. Since I started working with them back in the summer, they’ve been through a little rebrand. The new autumn/winter collection has just a bit more edge to it. Don’t panic, no major crazy new directions, but the design has kicked up a gear. There are some really great new items, in particular the outerwear. The White Stuff coat game is strong this season.

My favourite coat from their new collection was a toss-up between the Maddie reversible quilted coat and the Sloane padded coat. I ended up going for the Maddie because I already have two thick winter padded coats, plus I do love that you get two coats for the price of one with a reversible number! But there are so many great options to choose from. Here are some of my favourites…

COAT & DUNGAREES

Ok, so I know I don’t need any more dungarees, but I just had to order this corduroy pair to be sure. I can confirm that they will not be going back. They are SUCH a good fit. I got my regular size 12. Which is surprising as I often size up in dungarees, but these really don’t need to be loose. They are great just the way they are. I paired them with the Hattie hightops that I already had and the Cassie T-shirt which is a very useful layering piece.

1. Dahlia cotton corduroy dungarees
2. Cassie stripe long sleeve T shirt
3. Sloane padded long coat
4. Hattie leather hi top trainers

MADDIE REVERSIBLE COAT

I often wonder why all clothes can’t be worn inside out. I’d quite fancy a dress that’s plain on one side and patterned on the other. Or a jumper that’s got a different slogan on the inside and the outside, so you could wear something different depending on your mood. Maybe I need to start patenting this idea… But until then, let’s enjoy the Maddie reversible coat. It’s checked wool blend on one side and quilted on the other. Genius.

2. Harley eco leather backpack
3. Gigi cotton stitch jumper
4. Robin barrel jeans
5. Alpine khaki suede Chelsea boots

BARREL JEANS AND BOOTS

I should also mention the White Stuff barrel jeans. If you’re a bit worried about whether this trend suits you, these are a good place to start. They have a bit of stretch to them as opposed to being rigid like a lot of the jeans in this style. Nice and tapered and hit just above my ankle. I’m 5’7 (at least I was; I’m pretty sure I’ve started to shrink). I’m also keen on this Frankie check coat. Not just because it’s the same name as my dog, but also because it’s a classic wool blend overcoat that would work really well with so much in the winter.

1. Frankie brown check overcoat
2. Oatmeal cable rib jumper
3. Aria organic corduroy trousers
4. Harper lace up snake print trainers

Thanks for reading. I will be back on Sunday with some top level knitwear.
