It’s that time of year when I come to dread Sunday mornings. They really should be the best time of the week, a time for relaxation, gentle contemplation, maybe even a delicately warmed Pain au Chocolat and a cappuccino. But no, Sunday Mornings for me mean standing in a cold and invariably wet field watching youngest child play football. There’s no getting out of it either. Seeing as my husband can’t drive (have I mentioned that before? WTF?) all football duties are my domain. I have tried staying the car and watching from the comfort of a reclined seat and the soothing sounds of Magic FM, but number 2 son won’t stand for that. No, I have to be right there on the sidelines, being made to take photos of him that he can put on his instagram, avoiding the over-competitive shouty Dads and occasionally whispering the odd encouraging word or two, ‘Good Works’, ‘Nice Running’, ‘Never Mind’, ‘He’s Behind You’…
If you have to be outside in these testing times you need warm weather gear. You need a sturdy boot, you need a waterproof coat, you need a high necked jumper, you need a hat and most of all you need thermal underwear. The best thermals come from Uniqlo Heat Tech range — buy them all…
Here are some outfit ideas for clothing you can wear for your outdoor pursuits. I just ordered the Ganni Boots, Because I *really* needed another pair of boots (insert eye rolls emoji here)

3. Acne Black Skinny Jeans
4. Uniqlo Mens Cashmere Roll Neck
5. Clarks Clarmont Boots
More high neck jumpers to help keep out the cold…
Hat, always have a hat. I have no advice on how to combat hat-hair, but rather flat hair than a freezing head.
1. Topshop Quilted Puffa Jacket
2. John Lewis Pure Collection Cashmere Hat
3. The Outnet Rag and Bone Boyfriend Jeans
4. M&S Grey Leopard High Neck Jumper
5. Acne Tiede Lace Up Boots

Wrap up warm my friends. Always better to be too hot than too cold…
