I’m not saying that skinnies are dead, I think even when I’m well old I will be squeezing my saggy arse in to a pair of black skinny jeans, but this past week I bought a new pair of ‘Mensy’ trousers from Top Shop and I couldn’t love them more. I have no idea what ‘Mensy’ even means (if you do please let me know, even a google search didn’t give me the answer) Basically they are a slightly tapered very loose fitting trouser with a cropped roll-up hem. Surprisingly flattering, I thought they would end up being a bit too MC Hammer, but the crotch is well pleated and doesn’t bag out too much. These baggy trousers are now my new favourite so I got to thinking how to style them.
First up with a classic black polo neck, you know how much I like those, with some touches of tartan. I love these Joshua Sanders bow trainers. I *may* have just self-gifted them, but they are half price on Avenue 32, so I don’t feel bad. Tempted to get that matching scarf from Topshop, but will contain myself until after the Christmas weekend!

Next up a little bit of colour-blocking with greys. I love this Topshop coat, if I didn’t already have 2 very similar I would totally have bought this, it’s nice, long, and roomy, so it’s great for layering if it ever gets really cold…

Finally, a favourite combination of mine, Khaki and denim. It’s quite spring-like, but pop a Uniqlo Heat Tech vest on underneath and throw a warm jacket on and you’ll be just fine. I love this Mango shirt, I’m a sucker for anything embroidered…
