January Sales — a small selection

Generally I’m not a huge fan of the January sales, don’t get me wrong, I bloody love a bargain , but the shops look a mess and you have to be careful as a lot of it is all the crap you never wanted in the first place. Some of my worst buys have been in a rush of ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe this slightly too small, too short, fully see-through Christopher Kane top is now 90% off, I must buy now and never ever wear it’ BUT there are diamonds to be found if you follow a few simple rules:

1. Only buy it in the sales if you contemplated buying at full price, those are the best things. the shoes you LOVED but couldn’t quite justIfy the price tag, but at 50% off, then you MUST buy!

2. Online shopping is your best friend. You can shop in the absolute comfort of your wn home and when it arrives it’s like a lovely present to yourself.

3. Online you can search by size / designer / style / price / length of sleeve / will it make me look like a twat.

4. If you must go to the shops, stick to the nice ones, Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Harrods they will have the best bargains.

5. If you do venture into town, go early and go alone. Don’t take someone with you who with either hold you back or egg you on. You must know your own mind. Meet them after for a drink or a slice of cake, and do not under any cirmcumstances be one of those fools who you see on the news queuing  outside Next at 5am

So, without further ado, here are a load of things at knock-down bargain prices that I have found for you. let’s start with a few high-end stores…

Now, let’s get a bit more realistic and go for some high street bargains. I have stuck with my current 3 favourite shops, Mango, & Other Stories and Top Shop.

I hope you find some bargains in what can sometimes be a sea of shite…
