It’s a very loose theme this week. Each of these outfits does contain something blue though, so that will do as the colour that brings the title together. Sometimes I find it easier to base an outfit around a particular colour, navy and denim blue is a very easy one as they are (in my mind) a neutral.
I can’t really think of any colours that DON’T go with navy blue or denim, but for today I have stuck with browns and greens to show how that ‘3 Colour Formula’ is such a great styling tip when you are staring blankly at your wardrobe thinking you have nothing to wear. You DO have things to wear, you just need to play around a bit and put the right pieces together. Here are 7 outfits that I would like to wear this month.
DARK DENIM AND BROWN
Indigo denim is my new jam. Well, not new, but it suits the general mood and weather of this month, plus it doesn’t show the dirt so much. It also makes your average pair of jeans feel slightly smarter. Don’t be afraid to cuff your wide leg jeans. All the better to show off your shoes and socks. Socks can be key to pulling an outfit together, so think outside the ‘socks should be black’ box. All my favourite sock brands are on this post. A new pair is a very cheap and easy way to change up your look.

GREEN, DENIM BLUE & GREY
I fear these ‘M&S does Miu Miu’ suede beauties may have sold out by the time you read this, they are proving very popular — but M&S are pretty good at restocks, and let’s be honest, suede shoes are not conducive to a lot of the weather we’ve been having, so they can wait a good few weeks before they come in to full rotation. I’m also drawn to this denim midi skirt from Monsoon. It might have something to do with the inordinate amount of ‘Yellowstone’ and similar spin-offs I have been watching recently. I feel this would work a treat down on the ranch.

- Rixo Aquarius Astro Necklace
- COS Boxy Double Faced Wool Jacket
- Monsoon Tamsin Button Denim Midi Skirt
- Miu Miu Ivy Corduroy Bag
- Aligne Tania Knitted Cardigan
- M&S Suede Contrast Lace Boat Shoes
INDIGO BLUE DENIM, NAVY & TAN
Talking of M&S, they have some great new pieces coming in for spring that you can wear now if layered up with Uniqlo Cashmere Heattech underneath, which once again I cannot recommend highly enough. I am loving this sweatshirt and this suede jacket. Yes, suede is very much in again for 2026. I am happy about that as I have jackets I bought in 2024 that have a lot of wear left in them. I have stocked up on suede protector and am determined to not be too dictated by the weather when it comes to my leather.

GREEN, NAVY & BROWN
I’m sure everyone has a pair of khaki trousers knocking about. They will work perfectly paired with navy, don’t just save your khaki strides for the summer, they can work all year round.

- COS Crop Sleeve Merino Wool Polo Top
- Maivelle Athena Coin Drop Earrings
- House Of Bruar Wool & Mohair Double Breasted Coat
- Reiss Leather Curved-Buckle Belt
- Whistles Khaki Pleat Front Barrel Trousers
- Arket Slouchy Leather Tote Bag

NAVY AND NAVY (WITH A TOUCH OF RED)
This one is a more practical dog walking outfit. I have noticed with the recent frosty weather that my rubber wellies don’t quite have the grip as my hiker style boots. I know many of my fellow dog owners swear by their Blundstone’s in any weather as they last forever and are easy to clean up if they get muddy.

- Uniqlo Washed Cotton Polo Shirt
- COS Padded Cotton Liner Jacket
- COS Elasticated Cord Barrel Trousers
- La Redoute Leather Bum Bag
- & Other Stories Drawstring Parka Coat
- Genevieve Sweeney Alapaca Mar Stripe Socks
- Blundstone Originals Leather Chelsea Boots
NAVY AND TAN
This one is here to show off my new jacket from ME + EM. It was actually warm enough to wear it this past week, but I plan on layering a bigger coat over the top until double digit temperatures become a regular occurrence.

- Boden Rib Henley Top
- Decadorn Tiger Eye Gem Slice Triple Necklace
- Stradivarius Regular fit herringbone coat
- Jigsaw Suede Western belt
- Hush Boiled Wool Barrel Leg Trousers
- ME + EM Heritage Houndstooth Bomber Jacket
- Hush Sadie Stitch Detail Slimline Trainers
DENIM BLUE, BROWN & GREEN
I had to include another look using denim and green, just because I love this combination and it’s reminded me of the green jumpers that I own and how I need to wear them more often.

- Seasalt Johanna Fair Isle Jumper
- Zara Manteco Wool Coat
- WAT the Brand Barrel Jeans
- Massimo Dutti Split leather half-moon bag
- Monsoon Argyle Print Socks
- ME + EM Double Buckle Brogues
There will be a short break in proceedings next week as I’m going on holiday. Somewhere hot. With just my husband. So I can’t complain too much about January or the erratic UK weather as I am escaping it to go and wear shorts and bathers.
