This post is sponsored by Free People and today I bring you my summer edit from their site. This brand works well all year round, but they’re particularly good when it comes to summer and holiday pieces. A fine array of shorts (more on those on Sunday too: it’s definitely looking like shorts weather is on its way), some great beachy dresses and more summer shirts than you could wish for.
I love a good short-sleeved shirt in the summer. Oversized ones work best. You can wear them in the city, tucked into your trousers or jeans, but they’re just as good on the beach as a cover-up over your swimsuit. No need to seek out specific ‘beachwear’: you know I like my clothes to work on many levels, and Free People have so many that tick my boxes (not a euphemism).
I also love a good co-ord. I wore these pinstripe cotton wide-leg trousers while I was in New York in April, but they come as part of this summer suit. I love the slouchy, casual but also sort-of-a-little-bit-smart look. And I have to give special mention to these khaki trousers that are THE perfect summer trousers. I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of these this season.
Here are more of my picks from Free People for this summer.
