I spent it all on clothes by the looks of things...

Do You Like My Tight Sweater?

Hoo-bloody-rah, it’s almost sweater weather! As much as I sometimes long for the palm trees and sun of far flung exotic countries, I do love the seasons we have here in the UK. Mainly because it gives us an excuse to update our wardrobes on a regular basis. “Ooh it’s getting bit chilly, must buy new jumpers right away”. Personally I don’t really ever need an excuse, but I know there are more sensible people than me out there that do.

One of those people is my friend Phoebe who sent me this email..“Please can you do a non-naff mid-season slogan jumper blog. When I say non-naff, I mean not ‘Eyes On The Prize’ across my knockers (my neighbour wears that and it makes me feel awkward). Basically, I need a new crop of jumpers preferably cashmere and meaningful”

Challenge accepted and understood. Although I haven’t be able to find anything too meaningful, to be fair there doesn’t seem to be wealth of cashmere sweaters with ‘Stop Being To Mean To Jeremy Corbyn’, or ‘Mary Berry Has Principles’ emblazoned across the front, so I’ve used some artistic license here and found some nice sweaters with interesting words or pictures on them.

Here’s some from the pricier end of the market…

Here are some that are more affordable…

‘Do You Like My Tight Sweater’ was the excellent debut album from Moloko, one of the first things I ever ‘promoted’ in my Music PR career. Don’t think it did that well. I remember it was around the same time I worked one-hit wonders Love City Groove, who inexplicably seemed to fare much better. They won ‘A Song For Europe’ which will be forever remembered by me as the evening that Jeremy Beadle brushed up against me in an open doorway. He also introduced himself by proffering his small hand for me to shake. Turns out he did that a lot just to see how people would react. Ahh, the ’90’s. Strange days indeed…

Bet you won’t be able to get that  Love City Groove song out of you head now…
