AMAZON TEEN GIFT GUIDE

First off, apologies this one has taken so long. Teens are so hard to buy for. This post has been done in collaboration with Amazon Fashion, and for that I’m grateful as it means I really only had to look at one site to come up with the goods AND I can Prime it so I don’t have to go to shops.

It’s not all fashion, there are some other bits and pieces I’ve found along the way too, but if my kids are anything to go by, it’s pretty much clothes that they want. Along with a Playstation 5, but seeing as those are like the Scarlet Pimpernel this Christmas, they’re going to have to settle for a new outfit each and whatever else takes my fancy.

I’ve done 3 sections for boys and 3 for girls. Not having teenage girls myself, I was winging it, but kind of going off what I would like if I was 15. So much of what teen girls wear is reminiscent of my early Rave days anyway, I like to think I’m not totally out of touch. Here’s what I found…

I BOUGHT THESE DUNGAREES

Christmas shopping is hard when you are borderline shopaholic. There’s always going to be a few things along the way that call to you. I had almost this exact pair of Levis dungarees when I was 17. I wore mine with Lilac suede Kickers and a Velvet Patchwork cap. It was a total look. I reckon 17 year olds would go for this now too. I mean, who doesn’t want a furry yellow bucket hat?

1. Levis Vintage Style Dungarees
2. Barts Hats Lavatera Bucket Hat
3. Eastpak Out Of Office Pink Backpack
4. Vans Old Skool Suede and Canvas Trainers
5. Lucky Me I See Ghosts Hoodie

I ALSO BOUGHT THIS CARDIGAN

Told you I couldn’t be trusted with the Prime button when I’m browsing Amazon Fashion, but I can tell you this Cardi is excellent. really great quality for the price, it totally looks designer. I notice teen girls go for chunky trainers that remind me of the old Buffalo trainers from the mid 90s. I definitely think teens are tapping into the 90’s looks. I guess for them it’s like ‘so retro’, whereas for me, I still still 1997 was only 3 years ago.

1. Orolay Thickened Down Jacket
2. Rabbit Ear Chiffon Scrunchies
3. Nagiri Unisex Zig Zag Cardigan
4. Portable Bluetooth Mini Speaker
5. Fila Disruptor Chunky Trainers
6. Novelty Dog Ankle Socks

I’M REALLY TRYING NOT TO BUY A LIFESIZE HARRY

But it’s taking every ounce of willpower I have. I could maybe laminate him and pop him in the flower bed in the garden, like some sort ‘feature’. I know I can’t do that. My boys would never allow it, but if I had a teenage daughter I’d totally buy this for her/me…

1. Kawaii Air Pod Case
2. Life Size Harry Styles Cardboard Cut Out
3. Travis Scott I Like You T Shirt
4. TriFold Light up Make-up Mirror
5. New Balance 574 Trainers

ONE OF MY SONS IS GETTING THIS IKEA BUCKET HAT

I mean, come on. Just for the lols I had to buy it for one of them! It even comes with the pencil. I didn’t realise until Amazon got in touch that a lot of the things for sale on the Amazon Fashion site are by smaller brands using the site as a storefront. I’ve also bought one of my boys these joggers. They never read my blog so I’m not giving the game away.

1. Santa Cruz Retro Logo Sweatshirt
2. Ikea Bag Bucket Hat (with pencil)
3. Helly Hanson Active Puffer Jacket
4. Agora Side Tape Joggers
5. Vinyl Record Player with USB and Speakers

JOGGERS, ALWAYS JOGGERS

It’s what my teens live in these days Neither of them even own a real pair of trousers, other than the ones they wear to school. I’ve tried in the past to convince then t maybe try a pair of jeans, but it’s easier to just give them what they want, and that’s joggers. And trainers, they always want trainers too, but sometimes I fail on that as they are very picky when it comes to shoes.

1. Agora Colour Block Hoodie
2. Playstation Music Reactive Light
3. Columbia Lake Down Jacket
4. Nike Men’s NSW Joggers
5. Puma Unisex Rebound Trainers

GAMING HEADPHONES, EVERY YEAR

These are good for them, as pretty much all their socialising this year has been online via the games console. They are also good for you as when they wear these you only need to hear one side of the conversation and they don’t need to shout as there’s a built in microphone. I’m buying my boys DM’s too as I’m sick of having to wash inappropriate white trainers everytime we actually get them out of the house for a walk.

1. Lacoste Mens Beanie Hat
2. Turtle Beach Gaming Headset
3. Youthup Mens Padded Gilet
4. Puma Fundamentals Sports Bag
5. Dr Martens 1460 Original Boots
6. Amazon Echo Dot Alexa Speaker

I hope this was a bit useful for all you parents of awkward teens.
