If you’re looking for a day trip or a weekend away from London (or anywhere else), I can highly recommend Margate. There’s something for everyone, great vintage shops, historical houses, an art gallery, a skate shop, a shell grotto, penny arcades, fish & chips, a beach, and best of all, Dreamland. Only £15 each for an advance ticket and as many rides as you can pack in. We were there for nearly 5 hours yesterday and still didn’t go on everything . . .
