I can’t stop thinking about all the characters, which for me, is always the mark of good book. I’m now embarking on ‘A Little Life’ by @hanyayanagihara which I hear is also excellent. Not my bicycle. Wouldn’t want my nice @kemitelford dress getting caught in the spokes. Italian Holiday fans (I know there’s a few), we have now moved on, closer to Siena. Anyone know if it’s worth trying to go there tomorrow for the Palio horse race? Or would that be akin to trying to get a parking space in West Wittering on a warm August bank holiday?

We had our first bad meal today. Had to happen eventually. Pizza that was more akin to Tesco’s frozen than Tuscany’s finest. I feel much more relaxed today. Mainly because I’ve not got in a car. We’ve now run out of food and, more importantly, wine, so will have to drive down the hill of doom again tomorrow.
