I’ve always been a fan of a slogan sweater. I think I can trace that back to the knock off ‘Choose Life’ or ‘Frankie Says Relax’ T Shirts my mum got me at Farnborough Market. Joanie do a great range. My favourite has to be the Abbey Road jumper. Possibly because I worked at EMI Records for 15 years so I feel a kinship with those studios. I once went to a ‘long service’ dinner for work when I had been there for 10 years. The lady sitting next to me had served 40 YEARS working at Abbey Road! Oh, the tales she could tell.

The Joanie sweatshirts have great literary stance, they make you feel clever even if you last read Jane Eyre for your GCSE and the closest you’ve got to Bronte recently is to watch the Timothee Chalamet in the latest Little Women film.
