Spots, Dots, small coloured circles, whatever you call them, they are having a bit of moment right now. I love a theme to my posts and this one came at just the right time. The sales are really starting to annoy me now. I love to get my bargains, which I have, but now it’s getting tired. Go away with your jumble sale rails and give me some smart spanking new stuff to lust after. Spots and Dots caught my eye as being something to tap into while we wait to deliberate over what new coat we’re going to buy. I bought my winter coat back in May, so I’m alright jack, but I fear I may have peaked too soon. There is bound to be another I love more come September. Must. Contain. Myself.
So, let’s have a look at the polka dot pieces that can pep you up. I’ve found quite a few that I love. I’ve got to say that doing this blog is so bad for me. I do all these nice outfit ideas and then I just want all of it for myself. Although I should advise that if you really love something, don’t hold back. Nothing haunts you like the things you didn’t buy. I still have an eBay alert on this Top Shop Boutique Dress from last year that I missed out on. If anyone EVER sees this in a size 12 or 14 please get it for me, I will pay you back I promise!
I have this Boden shirt, I know, I know, Boden maybe has a bit of bad ‘Mumsy’ rep, but their shirts are great, they last for years (I’ve had mine since 2009) and they wash excellently too, maybe don’t step away from the Boden catalogue next time it drops through the door. (Some of their shoes are cute too)
Love this wrap top, it would work perfect with old jeans, but trying it out here with my favourite kind of trouser, the old faithful wide-legged cropped…
Well done Top Shop for getting on board with this trend and producing a pair of wide leg dotty trousers that bear more than a passing resemblance to last season’s Stella McCartney version. I love our high street!
OK, so you might not be brave enough to go for the double dots, but for the purpose of it looking cool on the page, let’s try it…
As I’ve said before, I always open to suggestions and questions for my posts, so do let me know if there’s anything you’re keen for me to write about.
