WearsMyMoney

I spent it all on clothes by the looks of things...

My M&S Must Have

This is a first for me. I think you all know by now how much of fan I am of M&S. I’ve always said, you can find some right gems in there, and I’m not just talking about the underwear section, but admittedly I do buy all my full briefs from there too. Anyway, this surprise Friday blog post is brought to you because the nice people at M&S gave me a giftcard and basically said ‘buy what you like, just give us a write up’. Now that’s an offer I can’t refuse as I happily spend my own money there all the time!

I picked one ‘must have’ piece, which for me was their classic trenchcoat, and have paired with other items to create two different looks. Obviously you can wear a trenchcoat with pretty much anything, even just some undies if you are that way inclined, but here’s what I picked…

MUST HAVE TRENCH AND TROUSERS

Firstly can we appreciate the trainers? They are very similar to the Stella McCartney pair I have but for a price WAY cheaper! I like to think this is a classic Parisian look. That’s a sweeping generalisation, I know that not all French people wear striped tops and trench coats. Add a pair of classic black tailored trousers, and you’ve got a perfectly easy outfit to take you anywhere. Must have

1. Striped Round Neck Long Sleeve Top —  £14.95
2. Pure Cotton Longline Trench with Stormwear™ — £79
3. Supima Cotton Rich Split Hem Trousers — £45
4. Leather Lace-up Trainers — £49.50

MUST HAVE TRENCH AND MAXI DRESS

I’m still an early ’90s grunge girl at heart, so for this look I’m going for a floral maxi-dress paired with some clompy boots. I actually bought these boots online when I as on holiday as a little present to myself. I think they will be perfect with jeans and slouchy jumper too, another standard grunge look I haven’t yet grown out of. Must Have M&S1. Pure Cotton Longline Trench with Stormwear™ — £79
2. Floral Print Long Sleeve Shirt Maxi Dress — £45
3. Leather Buckle Detail Ankle Boots — £75

This post was done in conjunction with M&S (obviously) and I couldn’t be happier with this partnership to be honest. I hope you liked it.
